The Thames Yacht Club will finish the 2015 cruising season with a two night cruise to Essex, CT. For members that winter their boats up the Connecticut River this is a wonderful trip. Essex offers great restaurants, shopping, and historic museums. Each year we are lucky enough to view large numbers of water fowl including eagles, egrets, ospreys, ducks, swans and Canada geese. The changing color of the trees along with the tranquil river makes this a memorable trip each year.

To secure a mooring for Saturday and Sunday night contact Cy Libby, Marina Manager at Brewer Dauntless Shipyard & Marina. Contact Cy at (860) 767-0001 or send an email to bds@byy.com. The Commodore’s Trophy Race is coming up quickly, on Sunday, September 13th! Please register as early as possible. We especially need to know the count for the party to assist in planning. Reserved tickets are $13, while unreserved tickets at the door are $15. You don’t have to race in order to attend the party.
