Racing season starts this Sunday and we need your help to get our infamous Queen–also known as the race committee’s floating home–into the river. Come on down to the club this Saturday at 10 am to help get the Queen Merry in place for the start of the season.
Join the annual tradition, May 21. Commissioning Day activities begin at 6 p.m.

The Mexican Navy’s sail training vessel Cuauhtémoc, with midshipmen from that country’s naval academy, will visit New London May 2-6 and be open to public visits while the future officers meet their counterparts at the United States Coast Guard Academy.
Prior to entering the harbor, the ARM Cuauhtémoc (kwawˈte.mok), will exchange the traditional 21-gun salute with the mobile saluting battery from Submarine Base New London, which will be positioned at Fort Trumbull to render the honors.
Want to learn how to sail but don’t know where to start? TYC offers adult sailing lessons for beginners to advanced sailors.
On Monday nights from 5:30-7:30 p.m. throughout the summer, TYC’s adult (18 and over) sailing program offers sessions of highly individualized instruction aboard our fleet of 420 sailing dinghies. All levels of skill are welcome–and all ages of adult sailors. The classes can help you learn to sail or sharpen your sailing skills. Taught by experienced instructors, you will receive the knowledge and experience on the water to that will prepare you to compete in the 420 adult race series held Thursday evening.
Cost is $115 for members and $140 for nonmembers. If you return the registration form before June 1st you will be entitled to an additional 10% discount.
